Accompanied by fruit, candelabras, long candles, flowers, silver cutlery and white table linen, models like Lindsay Wixson and Saskia de Brauw strolled down Paris's Grand Palais catwalk for an audience that included actresses Freida Pinto and Ashley Bargès-Frisbey.

Matthew Frost New Short Video

Here is the last short video from photographer Matthew Frost featuring model Anna de Rijk. The poster has been made by illustrator Lizzie Nanut. Hope you like it as much as I do!!!

Fever Ray | No Face

A new track titled No Face by Karin Dreijer Andersson, which you know from The Knife and Fever Ray, is featured on the We Are The Works In Progress compilation. The song was initially written for the Ingmar Bergman play The Wolf Hour, of which the soundtrack was entirely written by Karin - hope we get to hear that soundtrack one day.

With just a minimum of instruments and a focus on the opera-like vocals, No Face reminds me of the music of Klaus Nomi and Tomorrow, In A Year, the opera The Knife wrote music for last year, along with Planningtorock and Mt. Sims.

We Are The Works In Progress is a 14-song benefit album to support Japan and it’s ongoing efforts to heal post-tsunami and was compiled and organized by Blonde Redhead.

Kiki De Montparnasse | Julia Restoin-Roitfeld

Julia Restoin-Roitfeld is famous for being the daughter of the former editor of Vogue Paris, but she's actually a shrewd business woman in her own right. Julia has just designed her first lingerie collection in collaboration with Kiki de Montparnasse. The capsule line is very sensual, with silky styles and lace creating a sexy, voluptuous look. The designer herself posed as model for the lookbook, which features vintage-style black and white photos. This woman exudes both talent and beauty in equal measures.

It’s not easy to follow up winning the award for 2011 Designer Brand from the British Fashion Council, but wonderwoman Victoria Beckham has already done so with her denim line’s new video, entitled “Step for 2“. Released just a few days after the illustrious awards show, the video launches Victoria’s Spring/Summer 2012 Denim collection in a kaleidoscopic mix of vintage cinema illustrations, slick hot-foot moves, and an upbeat beatnik cool.
And no wonder. “Step for 2″ brings together some of the best minds in art and fashion today. In addition to being an exclusive collaboration with AnOther Magazine, spearheaded by fashion editor Agata Belcen, the team includes director Quentin Jones, set designer Robert Storey, musical scorer Peter Duffy, and models Bo Don and Amy Greenhough, sporting the line’s array of bright skinnies, denim cut-offs, and bright, vibrant prints.

Although already pass two week, I did not want to stop posting about the death of LouLou de la Falaise (Louise Vava Lucia Henriette Le Bailly de la Falaise), designer and muse of designer Yves Saint Laurent, after a painful illness. De la Falaise, became an icon of style, not only to accompany Saint Laurent for over twenty years, and will be the inspiration for the Smoking and sheer blouses that defined the designer, but because she was dedicated to her own jewelry line. She worked for Harpers Bazaar and collaborated with the Oscar de la Renta's jewelry line. Rest in peace.

We love the '90 tops. Last time we saw them together was in 1990 in George Michael´s video "Freedom" which still being an inspiration on the fashion business. In this case they are reuniting for Duran Duran's new video directed by Jonas Akerlund "Girl Panic!".  Naomi Campbell, Helena Christensen, Eva Herzigova, Cindy Crawford and Yasmin are gorgeous! 90´s are back! Both videos are great and will be iconic "art pieces" in pop culture. Enjoy it!

Cédric Rivrain - Selected Drawings | Books Part III

Self-taught draftsman Cédric Rivrain presents a distorted, figurative work, filled with an aesthetic and sensual charge.
His book offers a selection of 28 drawings inspired by three distinct universes – fashion, the study of the human body, and medical dressings – which the artist brings together through a single motif: beauty.
This collection of original works has been reproduced on a 1:1 scale. This graphical parti pris allows the reader to enter into the frame of the drawing and to discover a work of surgical precision mixed with the use of original materials, such as eye shadow, nail polish. The chromatic range from pale yellow to dusty pink, passing by steel blue, aligns with the fineness of the lines, whose fragility enclose hidden treasures.
The foreword is signed by artist Paul P., a friend of the author, and it lends, from the first page of the book, a character of profound sincerity.

Tavi´s Overdose

Tavi is omnipresent and we can say it cause these days in Paris we saw posters and posters of this little girl everywhere we looked at. I think that she is a bit scary cause she is super young, just fifteen, but at the same time she looks like and old woman. Sometimes I think about her like poor girl who doesn´t knows where she is into, I mean fashion system. It´s admirable her career, she started her blog with twelve years old and now she is the gurú for the new fashion generation. L´Officiel celebrated it´s 90th anniversary featuring Tavi Gevinson by Jean-Paul Goude. We knew she was on the cover but we didn´t knew we would have Tavi faces around us. Where we are going? What will be next?

Paris Different Locations

Paris Fashion Week Diary

Paris is shining these days and not just for the shows. Weather is sunny but super hot and we weren´t ready for these hard days walking around the city at 27 degrees. It´s just crazy. I took some pics with the phone so the quality is not so good. The first show we went was Dries Van Noten, one of my fav. The collection is just amazing, nice shapes and beautiful fabrics. He is a genius mixing prints, textures, silhouettes...

At 21.30h we went to see the new collection from Nicola Formichetti for Mugler. The show started with a Lady Gaga video made it by Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin. Lady Gaga, close friend of Nicola, appears on the video with  two silver teeth shining at the front, singing an inedit remix  "Welcome to Paris fashion week, I am Mugler woman, don't fuck with me, don't fuck with Mugler".

Next day was Manish Arora´s turn, the new creative director of Paco Rabanne. Everyone were glad when saw spanish actress Rossy de Palma wearing a Manish dress and ordering the models to sit on their place like her "domina". New tech fabrics, shining Swarovski crystals and feathers were the basic elements for this colorful collection from the indian designer.

After Manish´s show we went to Saint Germain where each season Ann Demeulemeester shows her collection. I falled in love with her last proposal for next Spring / Summer 2012  inspired in marrakech style but on totally Ann´s way. Cool, chic and of course Rock´N´Roll as always.

Friday afternoon we went to see Margiela collection and well... After Diesel group fired the whole crew who was related to Martin, the seasons are not too cool, at least not cool as when Martin were in charge. Anyway we can see some ironic pieces with the essence Martin had.

Woke up early to see Haider´s show. His collection is one of the most anticipated of the week. Waiting on the Bercy Stadium ´s door we saw the "new celebs" of the fashion system as Anna dello Russo Vs Grace Coddington, Franca Sozzani or Suzy Menkes. The show was just amazing with colorful pieces in chiffon, leather and liquid lamé. "Imagine" from Antony and the Johnsons, song from his last album, was the theme chosen for the designer while the models were walking on the catwalk. Chic, elegant and fresh.

At 14.00h we were waiting at Tuileries garden the Viktor & Rolf show. Was a nightmare wait, the sun was shining hard and weather was so hot. Finally we got in but inside was more hot than outside. The show started with two huge skirt where on top were  Brigitte singing their pop music. When I saw the show I just remember the Courtney Love video "Mono" where little girls came out under Coutney´s skirt. The collection was great,  funny and sooo V&R.

Last show of the day was Loewe. The spanish brand knows how to make beautiful pieces  mixing leather and silk. 40´s style is coming for next season and geometric prints were the key of this collection. Stuart Vevers is doing a pretty well done job with the iconic classic brand. Saskia the IT model right now opened the show.

Miu Miu was the last show we went. Miuccia is a great bussines women and everything she touches  become in cash. As always she does a new season her last colletion was pretty cool. Lot of trends for next summer were just in one show. We really love Miu Miu and we are not disappointed with this collection. So congrats Mrs Prada.
