Freddie Mercury Tribute

This year will be 20 years since Freddie Mercury left us with a huge repertoire of hits. In November it will be two decades after the death of the great artist. Today I woke up listening one of my favorite songs "Under Pressure". So I leave the version which David Bowie and Annie Lennox sang in the tribute concert after his death. Hope you enjoy it as much as me.

Some Lose Others Win

After the dismissal of Galliano at Dior, Ricardo Tisci is done with the reins of the emblematic Parisian House leaving his seat to a new designer for Givenchy. Who? Monsieur Haider Ackermann, one of the few "Belgians" who have made it into the elite of the Paris Prêt à Porter. His latest collections have been amazing and has shown he can with this and more. Meanwhile, the rumor that Pilati can be fired from Yves Saint Laurent is still alive. The names to the relay Pilati are many but the most sense is Hedi Slimane who worked on the house before the aesthetic revolution at Dior Homme. So hopefully Hedi takes the throne. Hedi is BACK!!!

The End Of The Era

Fashion house Dior fired designer John Galliano after 11 years working for the french house. Yesterday the actress Natalie Portman, who is the face of Dior Cherie perfume, was deeply shocked and disgusted and denounced him for his anti-semitic comments. So who will design Kate Moss wedding dress?! But something is happening at the LVMH headquarters. Today Kim Jones has been named the new Louis Vuitton mens Ready to Wear designer. It´s that true? What will be the next story?

Happy Birthday Chanel Feat Colette

From March 1st to 10th, two legendary addresses in the world of Fashion – Chanel 31 rue Cambon and Colette 213 rue Saint-Honoré – will be blending their creative talent to open an ephemeral boutique at 336-340 rue Saint-Honoré . Stretching over 200 m2, the boutique is set in the industrial surroundings of a former garage turned into a giant living display space. This spontaneous and eclectic installation will combine fashion, visual arts and musical performances, resulting in a fun-fuelled, creative mix and match by Chanel and Colette with a rock 'n' roll vibe. The headlining creations from the Chanel 2011 Spring-Summer collection will arouse curiosity when juxtaposed with a selection of pieces from young designers chosen by Colette.
